We organise visits to nature reserves and local sites for observation and occasional conservation work parties, hold meetings including wildlife talks in Frieth Village Hall and produce a quarterly newsletter.

Lane End Bridge Club meets in the Village Hall, within easy reach of High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Marlow and Henley.
The Club meets on Monday evenings starting at 7.30 pm and on Wednesday afternoons starting at 1.30 p.m
We ask players to be seated at least 10 MINUTES before these times.
We pride ourselves on being a friendly club, welcoming players of all standards, in particular we take pains to help less experienced players.
There is a host system so you can be sure of a game.
A prompt start, courtesy, quietness and consideration are the standards we seek to maintain at all times.
The table money is £2.50 for members and £3.50 for Non-Members.
This includes refreshments that we are regularly told are some of the 'Best in Bucks'.

The Lane End & District Horticultural Society is a friendly local society of local gardeners and others based in the village. The Society is run by a committee drawn from the village and the wider district.
We hold our annual show for flowers, vegetables, handicrafts etc in the Lane End Village Hall - usually on the second or third Saturday in August.
Everyone’s welcome to come and see the produce on display and/or to exhibit their own entries. You never know, you may win Best in Show!
Details of how to take part as an exhibitor or as a visitor can be found in our Show Schedules and Entry Forms, which are available in shops around Lane End and on our website from July onwards each year.

Lane End Youth Club runs every Wednesday term time 6 pm-8 pm @ the Lane End Youth & Community Centre. This is a Junior Club for boys and girls aged 7 yrs-11 yrs. Lots to do and open to any new ideas that parents or children might want within the club. Entry to club costs £1 per session and we have a tuck shop for children to buy drinks and sweets.

M40CEG was set up in 2004 by local people in an effort to reduce intrusion of traffic noise from the M40 on the lives of people who live close to the road in Lane End and elsewhere between Loudwater and Milton Common. In the 14 years of our existence we have seen Quiet Surface installed on a long stretch of the road in South Oxfordshire and, last year, we were successful in having eight large noise barriers erected at the larger communities that suffer from traffic noise – including one at Lane End. This year, LECG will plant a belt of trees at the motorway boundary below the playing fields, with funding from WDC. This project was initiated by M40CEG. When mature the trees will reduce visual intrusion, and hopefully also provide a degree of noise reduction.

Moorend Common is an area of woodland and meadow owned by Lane End Parish Council and has an unusual combination of woodland, meadows with acid grassland, and marsh. It’s a beautiful area for walkers to explore.
